Renowned manufacturer of set-top boxes, Infomir, has released the fifth series of their popular MAG devices. These new units allow users to view top-quality content with room-filling surround sound.

Here are some of the key features of MAG540’s hardware and software:

What’s in the box?

1x MAG540 set-top box

1x Remote control handset (complete with x AAA batteries)

1x HDMI cable

1x Power supply unit

1x User manual with warranty card

Sleek interface

The MAG540 package includes everything you need to start watching your favorite movies and TV shows. Simply plug in the unit, follow the easy set-up procedure (which takes less than ten minutes,) and you’re ready to go!

When the device is booted for the first time, it must be paired with the remote control handset. To do this, press and hold two buttons on the remote simultaneously for three seconds. A green light will appear on the remote once it detects the set-top box

The remote features four special buttons that can be configured to perform unique functions or control other home devices, including a TV or even an air conditioner. Configuring these buttons takes under a minute. If you only wish to use the remote with the MAG540, it can be programmed to ignore other infrared-operated devices.

The remote control handset’s case is ergonomically designed and constructed from non-slip ABS plastic. Therefore, it sits comfortably and securely in your hand. Moreover, it is designed with longevity in mind, featuring buttons designed for 300,000 operations.

The MAG540 package includes two long-life AAA batteries for the remote, allowing you to use it immediately. However, note that when replacing the batteries, they must be of the same type and have the same charge level to ensure reliable operation.

The MAG540 unit is supplied with a 5 Volts DC power supply unit compatible with input voltages of 100–220 Volts AC. Housed in a durable plastic case, this unit can reliably run for 30,000 hours or 3.5 years without interruption.

MAG540 can connect to most TV sets or monitors via the included HDMI cable. Best of all, being 1.5 meters long means you can locate the set-top box anywhere that is convenient.

The user manual includes detailed instructions on setting up and operating your MAG540. An electronic version of this manual is available for download from our website. A warranty card is also enclosed with the user manual.

Attractive appearance

MAG540 features an attractive black Cubic case designed to complement any room perfectly.

A glossy front panel conceals the power indicator and IR sensor, maintaining the sophisticated look of the device.

The underside of the unit is where the device’s serial number, MAC address, and manufacture date can be found. These details can be used on Infomir’s website to check the authenticity of your device, something we recommend you do immediately upon receiving it.

Useful interfaces

Two USB 2.0 ports are located on the left panel and can be used to connect external peripherals such as keyboards, mice, or additional memory.

The HDMI port, power supply input, and Ethernet port are on the rear panel. Also found here is the Fn button, which is used for manually restoring the device to the factory settings and managing programming options.
