MAG524w3: a 4K capable Linux set-top box with HEVC support
A fifth-generation IPTV STB made by Infomir is called the MAG524w3. It offers 60 fps playback of 4K HDR video. Even with sluggish Internet rates, the gadget can playback high-quality online video thanks to HEVC support.
The quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 CPU found in the Amlogic S905X2 chipset, which powers the set-top box, enables it to operate at up to 18,400 DMIPS. The STB has 4 GB of internal storage and 1 GB of RAM.
The eight-channel Dolby Digital PlusTM audio format is supported by MAG524w3. To enjoy surround sound, simply connect your set-top box to a TV or audio system that is compatible.
A built-in dual-band Wi-Fi module or a 100 Mbit/s Ethernet port can be used to connect the STB to the Internet (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz). The wireless connection offers up to 550 Mbit/s of data transfer speed.
An external hard drive connected through one of the two USB ports can play content (2.0 and 3.0). Through these ports, peripherals like keyboards and mice can also be installed.
