MAG522w3: a 4K capable Linux set-top box with HEVC support
Infomir produces the high-performance media player known as the MAG522w3. It offers 60 fps 4K HDR video playback. Even high-quality content does not strain your Internet connection because of HEVC support.
The device has an ARM Cortex-A53 CPU and an Amlogic S905X2 chipset, allowing it to operate at up to 18,400 DMIPS. The STB has 4 GB of internal storage and 1 GB of RAM.
Either a 100 Mbit/s Ethernet port or Wi-Fi is used to connect the STB to the Internet. The dual-band wireless interface has a maximum speed of 550 Mbit/s and can operate at 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz.
Through either of the two USB ports, external storage devices and peripherals can be attached (2.0 or 3.0).
By connecting your device to a suitable home theater system or TV, you can experience content with eight-channel sound thanks to Dolby Digital PlusTM support.
